DENNIS RIDGE

This was my first graphic design assignment back in the Fall of 2007. In the span of 24 hours, a picture was taken every hour with my digital camera. Afterwards, I integrated each photo to create this colorful, dream-like art piece.

For this assignment, I had to incorporate themes that reflect Spring season and orchestral concert music. Through the use of Adobe Illustrator, I created a visually flowing poster that's sure to capture the attention of music lovers.

Similar to the "Day in the Life" assignment, for this assignment I had to photograph a number of fabrics, textures, liquids, colors, and sceneries. I decided to go for a warmer approach, unlike the "Day in the Life" picture.

For this project, I had to create a poster for a non-profit organization. From a long list of organizations, I chose the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life campaign.

For this assignment, I had to integrate poetry and art for a non-profit advertisement to be displayed in SEPTA transit systems.

Originally, this assignment was simply to create a logo for a food market, flower shop, pet store, etc. For example the title would have to be "Other Food Store" or "Other Flower Shop". I felt this assignment had to be more personalized rather than generalized, and decided to actually give my "place of business" an identity.

In January of 2014, I had become an avid fan of HBO drama "True Detective". Besides being a fan of the show, I was also intrigued by the show's introductory credits with its use of double exposure. With the use of Photoshop and public domain photos, I managed to recreate the same effect.
